Terms and Conditions for Moon Huddersfield Cars

Welcome to Moon Huddersfield  Cars (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our taxi and private hire services in Huddersfield and surrounding areas. By booking or using our services, you agree to comply with these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking and Reservations

1.1. Bookings can be made via phone, our website, or through a licensed third-party app.
1.2. We recommend advance bookings to ensure availability, but we also accept on-demand requests subject to driver availability.
1.3. You must provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations, contact details, and any special requirements at the time of booking.

2. Fares and Payments

2.1. Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and any additional charges (e.g., waiting time, tolls, or late-night surcharges).
2.2. A fixed quote may be provided for pre-booked journeys, but this may vary due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., traffic delays, route changes).
2.3. Payment methods include cash, card (via in-car machines), or pre-paid bookings (online/app).
2.4. If a customer fails to pay, we reserve the right to refuse future services and take legal action if necessary.

3. Cancellations and No-Shows

3.1. If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible.
3.2. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in a ban from future bookings.
3.3. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if a booking is cancelled after a driver has been dispatched.

4. Passenger Responsibilities

4.1. Passengers must behave in a respectful manner; abusive or violent behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of the journey.
4.2. Smoking, alcohol consumption, and illegal substances are prohibited in our vehicles.
4.3. Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle due to negligence or misconduct.
4.4. Children under 12 must use appropriate child seats (provided upon request).

5. Lost Property

5.1. If you leave an item in one of our vehicles, please contact us as soon as possible.
5.2. We will hold lost property for 14 days before disposing of or donating it.
5.3. Moon Taxis is not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings left in the vehicle.

6. Liability

6.1. We strive to provide a safe and timely service but are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.
6.2. We carry full commercial insurance, but passengers are responsible for their own safety when entering/exiting the vehicle.

7. Complaints and Feedback

7.1. If you have a complaint, please contact us via phone or email with details of your journey (date, time, driver details).
7.2. We will investigate and respond within 7 working days.

8. Changes to Terms & Conditions

8.1. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The latest version will be available on our website.

9. Governing Law

9.1. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of UK courts.
